Shanghai Railway Economic Development Co., Ltd. Visited SRIBS Factory for Research and Exchange
On March 21, a delegation led by Xu Ke, Chairman of Shanghai Railway Economic Development Co., Ltd. (SRED), visited the Jinshan campus of Shanghai Research Institute of Building Sciences Co., Ltd. (SRIBS) for an exchange and discussion. The delegation was received by Zhao Rongxin, General Manager of SRIBS Company, along with Vice General Manager Xing Yun and Senior Chief Engineer Chen Aihua. Representatives from SRIBS's Market Development Department and its technology company also attended the meeting, which was chaired by Xing Yun.
Zhao Rongxin welcomed the SRED delegation, emphasizing that their visit served as a bridge for communication between the two organizations. While railway construction and building science have different focuses, they are closely connected in many aspects, presenting broad opportunities for collaboration. Zhao acknowledged the significant role of railway engineering in national infrastructure development and expressed confidence that SRIBS's expertise in technology research and industrial applications could contribute to the advancement of the railway sector.
Han Wenhe, Director of the SRIBS Mechanical Institute, delivered a presentation on "Digital Manufacturing and Equipment Development," highlighting the company's achievements in intelligent safety control technology and automation.
Xu Ke expressed his gratitude for SRIBS's warm reception and highly praised its technological innovation and industrial service capabilities in digital manufacturing. He noted that the visit was an opportunity for learning and exchange, yielding valuable insights and takeaways. Xu also expressed hope for continued collaboration to share achievements and work together for the well-being of the public in terms of travel and health.
During their visit, the SRED delegation toured the smart factory at the Jinshan campus, gaining firsthand insight into SRIBS’s advancements in automation, digitalization, and intelligent technology.
